Key Roles and Responsibilities

Managing the allocated portfolio of customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth continuity with the customer.

Soliciting new businesses from the existing clients through cross selling to increase the range of banking products being utilized by each customer.

Identification of the potential target customers and viable sectors for the bank to build business relationships with.

Participating in product development, launch of new products, review of the existing products and marketing campaigns.

Visiting corporate clients, preparing call reports and documenting action plans.

Making sales presentations and ensuring that customer’s accounts are maintained to their expectations.

Preparing Credit Line Proposals in consideration of Risk Profiles and other support information in lending with Corporate Bankers (relationship officers).

Mobilization of Fixed Deposits as well as current accounts from the big corporates and public sector corporate.

Ensuring total compliance with bank’s credit policies and all regulatory requirements.

Ensuring that securities offered are perfected and lodged as per the security documentation policies and procedures.

Ensuring that credit facilities limits are marked and preferential rates/waivers are updated in the system and the relevant departments advised accordingly.

Review of business projects and proposals.

Global banking liaison (1 YEAR).

Main Achievements

  1. I have been able to build a portfolio of Kshs.7 Billion in a span of 5 years from new corporate relationships.

  2. Total gross income recorded from the portfolio was 750 million as at end of 2011 approximately 5% of the entire banks net PBT.

  3. Topped in my department for 2 consecutive years in terms of income generation

  4. Been able to contribute to change certain policies in KCB at corporate level.
